Had a farewell breakfast in Sari-myeon before we returned to Cheongju.

We were welcomed back to Cheongju by Alice’s father’s homemade pho. He used to own a ton of restaurants so the man can cook wildly well.

Alice wanted to do some clothes shopping and I’ve been itching for some Korean versions of American fast food so we went downtown. Enter Burger King’s Volcano Chili Whopper. Sadly, I give it a C+. It was enjoyable but doubt I’ll ever return to eat it again. Burger Kings suck globally.

Met back up with her father at night for Korean sashimi with his friends followed up by a live bar owned by his friend. While beer and soju flowed freely I jammed on the drums, we sang songs, and the owner ripped on the saxophone. Quite the day.

Farewell, Sari-myeon
Bye bye, countryside
Pho prep
Fava beans and Chianti, please
Not creepy (One armed scissor?)
Burger King Volcano Chili Whopper
Fast food looks so gross
Friend's sashimi place
So relieved to finally drum
