I’ve visited Kamakura once in 2007 with my buddy Ken and it left a very positive impression on me. There’s a significant amount of Hawaiian influence and the fact that it’s on the coast gives it a semi-Malibu vibe.

We set out to see the oldest Daibutsu in the world, the famed Bamboo temple, and Chigasaki’s southern beach. On a day with perfect visibility you can see Mt. Fuji from the beach, a rare occurence. The weather was great but visibility was mediocre so my photos weren’t that clear. Finished the night at a chain AYCE shabu shabu place. That was funny.
